Precision medicine is one of the new trends in the field of biomedical treatment of depression. This article reviews the recent progress of precision medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of depression from the perspective of improving the diagnostic classification， exploring the predictors of treatment outcome and applying the medical big data， and discusses the problem it meets in clinical practice.
