    Abstract:

Auditory verbal hallucinations are the sensory perceptions of hearing voices without external stimuli, and one of the major symptoms of schizophrenia. Some of patients with auditory hallucinations suffer from insignificant efficacy or poor compliance with antipsychotic drugs, and new strategies are needed for clinical treatment. This review summarizes the research progress of brain abnormalities related to auditory verbal hallucination in schizophrenia and non drug intervention, including repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive training, to provide new ideas for the treatment.
